Increasingly political talk in the General Messages

Is there a way that the General Messages that show up for everyone be moderated? There has been increasingly aggressive talk occurring, and drowning out people who want to talk about games, the entire purpose of this website.

Instead, here is an example of the kinds of things that have been happening (I have removed all the names, but the admins surely have access to the logs):

This is not by any means the worst of it. Unfortunately the General Messages only allow you to capture a small amount of scroll back.

This site should be about the board games that we all love, not a place to attack people from different countries.

*Moderation Edit: please do not use the Forums to call out specific players or comments, this is what the Moderation Reports are for. The Forums should remain a general discussion.

You can report those players from their player profile

Unfortunately the General Messages goes by pretty quick and there was some really insulting stuff going on. I don't think it is enough to try and single out individual people and report each one, there were quite a few taking part in the name calling. While none of it was directed at me, it had turned the General Messages area (that potentially everyone on BGA can see) an unsafe and angry place. That's not what the majority of BGA players come to this site for - we come to have a good time playing games.

Perhaps a suggestion: Create a contact option that directs the mods to the conversation going on in General Messages if it gets out of hand. I tried to find an option in the Contact area to let them know it was getting heated, but I could not find a category that fit.

Actually you can:
- Click 'Report this player' from the profile page
- Select 'behaved inappropriately in the chat'
- Select 'In the website global chat visible to everyone'

Then you can see the recent global chat record of that user and report the inappropriate sections.

That still only reports one person, and in this case there were many taking part. However, it's a solution, so I appreciate the info. :)
