All the top players probably hate me now for giving up this not so well kept secret
Natural Selection is one of the most broken cards in the deck.
cost: 4
+4 hearts
+4 energy
+1 dice
-risk of taking 10 damage
So the card pays for itself and sometimes gives you extra 1 energy if you buy it from the -1 cost slot. So it's 4 hearts and 1 dice for the risk of taking 10.
You can manage your rolls well enough to mitigate the threat of taking 10 damage.
Perhaps 5 or 6 games i've played where I should be dead lost and this card saves the day. Perhaps 1 game I've played where it has killed me. and that is a game i should have lost anyway.
The card does too much and is so broken. I get there will be variance and luck but this is too much.

It gives you an extra die, but you can’t combine more than three to advance quickly along tracks.
I wouldn’t say it offers a significant advantage.

Utter destruction is best with meka. With other ones it really sucks having to limit to 3. It might go good with alienoid or cyberkitty but it does not pair well with any other monsters. I only take it when I am using meka or if I have no choice because I am dying.
It isn't killing you that is the issue with the card. It is the fact that it limits your roll options. If you roll 4-6 stars tough luck you can only move one space. If you roll 4-6 energy tough luck you get 3 and can't buy that one card you need. I do not think the card is OP, but like a lot of the cards if you have the right monster and the right cards it can be OP.

Oh boy.
Buddy you've played almost 300 games so far to my 60, lol.
In a game of yahtzee with a few bells and whistles I don't think u have to be top 10 to have a reasonable opinion on the game.

That's true it does limit rolls but certain monsters you can be okay with going for lots of different faces, kind of staying away from destruction/fame since that can be dangerous. In games where you're behind it's like 4 free hearts and increases the variance a bunch. Think of it like a reset button.

i agree with this. Natural Selection is a nice value generator but it stops you from being able to burst with anything (tracks, damage, health, energy). Not to mention you sometimes have to stop a roll early to make sure you don't kill yourself so it's really not a terribly strong card. A lot of the time I see it get played is to heal up from low health and try and hang on.
