Clogging the arena queue

Another issue with selective red thumbing to avoid arena pairing:
I saw that an arena table for available and wanted to join. But the progress bar never went past "Searching for player" (10 min at least). Turns out the "gg etiquette" player had set up the table so I could not join. That's ok, it is their right to block me. But why does the server not open another table for me to wait for another player? In effect the red thumber blocked that two players, he/she/they do not like can form another arena table. Taken to the extreme a player could red thumb all top players, open an arena table and does not let anyone else play. (real-time, not sure how turn based arena table setup works)
Which brings me back to a question that was already raised in a different post: When will the arena setup rules changed that prevent red thumbed player to meet?

what do you mean you "saw an arena table you wanted to join"?
Arena matchups are all automatic, you dont get to see a queue or players?

On the "PLAY NOW" screen with the options "SIMPLE GAME", "REAL-TIME" and "MANUAL" with the game selected, one can see if an arena table is waiting for more players. I clicked on that which got me to the "ARENA" screen, where you can see the progress bar telling you how many players are still needed.
How did I find out which player had opened the arena table? After my progress bar changed from "Searching for players" to "1 more", I checked the active tables and saw that a arena table (including player names) just started. And the first player name listed on that table, was the one, who had given me a red thumb. Not upset about the red thumb, upset about the table forming mechanism.

I have the same issue, I don't know if a lot of player gave me red thumbs tho. Do you know a way to see how many players gave us red thumbs ?

I am pretty sure there is no option to search for players that red thumbed you . I believe there is also no option to search for players whom you gave a red thumb....
You can probably find out if a specific player red thumbed you, but that's it. No way to change that. And that is a good thing, too many trolls and weird stalkers out there.

Is that still going on? I have seen a table waiting for arena play for 45 min, but I cannot join. I am stuck at "Searching for player(s)..." Never goes to "Searching for 1 player".

Curious… can you interact with red thumbs through forums? I don’t even remember who I’ve red thumbed. Is there a way of searching and un-red thumbing them? lol

I do not believe that forums have red thumb filters. You will see posts by red thumbers and red thumbed.
I once saw a forum discussion about finding your own thumbing, but apparently there was no such option (not sure if that has changed since then). You will need to check players individually to see if you thumbed them (There is also a green thumb!)

Yeah I have been noticing the same. Whomever red thumbed me plays very frequently and is often sitting in the queue ahead of me for long stretches of time throughout the day. It is annoying for sure.

Looks like the player is back. I was often stuck in non responsive queues for the last couple days. The player in question fell out of the top 10 in the arena and is likely trying to catch up again....
(For the record I am nowhere near the top 10! I want to play more but the long wait times do not help)
