On top of the current penalty, there should be a penalty of getting a new unknown era card added to your deck in case of wrong guess. Otherwise, the whole game becomes a guessing game.

I first tried solo without guessing or guessing just once. I lost all my games. Then I tried with a lot of guessing and I won in my first trial of trying this new method.

Oh, huh, I didn't know they'd finally added Solo mode.

I can't speak to Solo balance but in PvP Press Your Luck is already so weak as to be almost never worth doing.

I could only play one pvp game and my opponent did win using guessing mechanic

nah, the guess mechanic makes the games go nice and quick and the penalty of -1 card next round is nothing to scoff at. Makes some of the multi-portal techs pretty useful (especially the all 4 types since it's no longer a guess)

I win a very significant portion of my games and I almost never guess. 1/4 odds for delaying the card cycle and potentially ruining the next turn sounds pretty shite to me most of the time.

(Solo is pretty different and mostly irrelevant since it does not include most of the cards)

Guessing is not bad with the dual portal card, it's 50/50

it can be worth to try and catch up or if it will push a game to end 1 round faster (generally you avg 2 era a round)

Le fait de décider d'avoir la possible pénalité dépends de tes cartes en ton deck. Si tes meilleurs cartes sont défaussé et que tu as 4 cartes en ta pioche, tu n'auras pas tes bonnes cartes à ton prochain tour. De plus, le Recycleur pourra t'en voler une en ce cas.

Whether or not you receive the potential penalty depends on the cards in your deck. If your best cards are discarded and you have four cards in your draw pile, you won't get your best cards on your next turn. Furthermore, the Recycler can steal one of your cards in that case.
