Is ending with the goat a positive?

I found this game yesterday, and have had great fun with it so far! I considered trying the grumpy goat as well, but I didn't quite get one part of the rules: it says " If you have the Grumpy Goat in your hand at the end of a hand, you receive 5 points.". Does that mean you get PLUS five points if you end with the goat in hand? As in you could choose to not finish and instead keep the goat, thereby increasing your score? Five points seems like quite a lot if the goal is (-)15.

Holding a goat in hand is bad. You gain 5 PENALTY points.

That makes sense, thanks!

I realize now that it's only the BGA adaptation that subtracts points; the physical game also tells you to add points when you lose a round, which explains the goat rule wording.
