Random goals

What is the deal with the "random goals"?
In both my games with Random goals, it was a mixture of the 10 random goals (on the front and back of the physical discs) and the 4 standard goals printed on the game board.
If playing "advanced" mode wit the random goals, the printed standard goals should not be used.
Those 4 goals are basically a joke, and are obtained with zero extra effort beyond just doing what one would typically do anyway in the course of playing the game.
