Board Game Arena

Dude asked to leave an arena game of Ark Nova halfway through, said he had no time to play because of some sort of personal emergency/situation or something (surely, my being ahead and in a strong position had nothing to do with it). Whatever, I don't want to play with people who don't want to play, and things happen in life. I let him get out of the game

I immediately go to join a new arena game, and who do I get matched with? Same person. And suddenly he has all the time in the world to play, taking turns super quick.

This feels like really slimy behavior, and should be against the terms, but none of the categories under report a player really fit this. Is BGA ok with this? Dude was ranked #10 in the world; is that just what you're supposed to do to get high ranking? Lie to get people to let you out of any game where it looks like you might lose?

IF it's not important enough to just quit and take the hit to karma it's not that important

Exposing him on the forum is the right thing to do. Now we will all be aware if we get matched against him.

I suggest you use any category and explain your case. I'd say that "uses several accounts for elo boosting" is close enough.

Sorry to hear this. The said player did similar thing in with me as he would propose a draw when I was ahead. I simply ignored. Apparently ark nova is a social deductions game where you have to lie to win ahhaah

He was going to win in 3 moves. The whole thing is very strange.
