The Perfect Game

To me the perfect game would be the old edition, except using YT15 and YT26 from the 2019 edition so that all yellow VP tiles average out to ~12 VPs. What would you change to make the perfect game?

I thought it had been calculated that it was impossible to fill the board....

With just the base game, its mathematically impossible.

With some of the expansions, it's doable (specifically Trade Routes, and/or White Castle), although still difficult.

Base game with yellow tile #6 from the 2019 edition is enough to fill the board. I've seen it happen in some lopsided games. (Basically relies on yellow tile #14 and boardinghouse giving you workers to buy twice for only one die)

i don't have much experience in the way of expansions (and the major change that happened with the 2019 edition, i.e.: the yellow tile allowing to buy from anywhere with workers instead of coins!) I do not like at all.

So for just the base game, the changes I would make to improve it are to have 0,0,1 and 0,0,0 colour completion bonus tiles (to make it fairer for both third-place getter in a four-player game and for the player who gets the relevant knowledge tile, should it come out) plus being able to see four goods tiles ahead at all times and not just at the beginning of each phase, to do away with the luck factor there (the luck of the dice, including the white die, is plenty enough luck for the game).
