Board Game Arena

Hi all,

Just looking for some insight as to why the Yahtzee gurus decided to change the arena format back to standard Yahtzee?

Maybe gurus were looking for some fresh air?
The Arena format was Maxi Yatzy for 4 seasons in a row (= 1 year).

I was wondering why I couldn’t play in Arena mode while playing Maxi Yahtzee. Bummer.

I like it simpler, as I have a cluster of shorter games I like to play in Arena during gaps in my day. When Yahtzee went to the longer versions I would play it less (backgammon and cribbage also went to longer formats in Arena last year so I also play those less now too).

The problem with standard is there are sites on the Web that can tell you the statistically optimal thing to do in a given situation. I have stopped playing Yahtzee for fear my opponent will be cheating.
