There are multiple threads and a lot of people asking for C&K in Arena (since 2 or 3 seasons).
I'm puzzled why it's not yet implemented.

Gurus vote on what the arena season is going to be. The majority of people who play the game the most seemingly don't want that variant in arena.

Each game has 100 Gurus. These are the people that play the most games of a given board game. Not spend the most time, play the most games.

So being a guru leans towards people who play the shortest play-time version of a game.

With a game like Obsession, where the Arena base (I don't know how to check overall player numbers) is around 200 people, then the gurus tend to be people who start a new game immediately after finishing rather than just play a lot over time and you get some flexibility in what kind of game they want to play.

Catan has 7,000 people ranked in arena. That means you'll get more consistency in the kinds of game the most games 100 like. And that is short play-time games.

This is why Arena is 3 players all the time. It's also why you occasionally see it with Friendly Robber, Easy Start and even shuffled number order. All these options make the game end quicker.

That's why you will never see an Arena season of C&K. Each game takes 2 or 3 times longer than a 3-player base game. So C&K people will never be gurus.

So just make C&K a separate game and add it to Arena: everybody would be happy in their comfortable corner.
Now we have Catan New Energies as a new game, it makes even more sense.
