Running up score(Real Time Scoring Enabled)

I want to know peoples opinions for Real Time Scoring games. Do you find it rude when people who are 15-20+ points ahead continue to play cards after the game has ended and other players have passed. In my opinion its bad sportsmanship but i wanted to know others opinions. This only pertains to large leads, in a close game trying to make 10pts or so ahead in case of plant phase plays and/or award swings is fine to me.

If they take like 45 seconds to play out their hand after you've passed on the final gen I think it's fine. If they're sitting there for 5 minutes carefully optimizing each point to win by 30 instead of 28 I'd agree it's rude.

It doesn't bother me. I want my opponents to have an enjoyable gaming experience, and if that means cashing their hand, so be it. Also, it helps for the accuracy of the statistics that people often post and refer to when making strategy posts.

Also, consider that a player running up the score in this manner might lose the internet connection and end up forfeiting on time. SO, it's not a risk-less play.

I'm not a fan of "rubbing it in" but I get it that sometimes you have an amazing hand and just want to see if you can hit a certain point threshold, say, 150. Or play all the Jovians. Or you went nuts with microbes/animals and want to get 30 resources on a card or something. Or 30 plant production. Et cetera. So I'm fine with it but make it quick and don't tank. On the flip side, I can just hit concede and not let you go to town, so there's that.

In competitive settings it’s never bad sportsmanship to play your most competitive line. It’s also pretty classy to respect peoples’ time more than your own personal desire to play for maximum competitiveness.

Also, in some settings, points scored across multiple games matters, such as a tournament.

I had not considered a tournament where score from multiple games would add up. If that was the case i dont feel it would be running up the score when you have won. Unless its the final round and your opps have passed but your the last one left and already winning. However im mostly referring to arena this season/ 1v1 format.

If I didn't have any greeneries to play, I'd just pass and go afk. Let them do whatever. I get a short break between games to shake off the loss and avoid playing the next game on tilt.

Probably would do the same with greeneries, except check back more frequently to avoid getting timed out.

I think you have to try to achieve the maximum possible score, so I don’t really see a problem.

I let them be and don't mind it as long as they don't time out.

BGA does keep stats such as average game score for a game. They don't really impact anything but some people might care about them.
