Why aren't all turn-based Perudo games in the arena the same speed?

I've been playing turn-based Perudo games in arena mode. Most of them give me 24hrs per turn but a few of them are only giving me 8hrs per turn. AFAIK there's no option to select time in arena mode. Why can't it be consistently 24hrs? 8hrs is way too fast.
