Swtiching back to Up/Down during a turn

It looks like gameplay has changed and if you switch to Down/Up at the start of your turn, you aren't able to switch to the opposite direction again. Was this a bug with BGA that got fixed? I really liked that option, especially if you hit DOWN but then get a 10 and have to play it.

The rule says that you can flip up/down only once (you have to 1. flip, 2. draw 2 cards, 3. continue with „play a card“). I think, it is/was a bug that you could do it several times in the same turn.

that is too bad, it definitely removes some of the fun of using that as a strategic play move and puts you at the mercy of the cards more.

Has there been another rule change? I've just played in a game when I played the last card in my hand and the round ended immediately, I'm sure previously I could play one of my "table" cards (or vice versa)

I think you can still do that - as long as the card you played has the same colour as the one you've put it on top of.
Red 10 showing, play red 6 (finish hand); play blue 3 (round ends)
or
Red 10 showing, play red 6 (finish hand); play red 5; play blue 3 (round ends)
vs
Blue 10 showing, play red 6 (finish hand; round ends)
