Is this feature still active? Is something changed? (I haven't logged on for a few months, so I may have missed something).

I ask it because today I played It’s a Wonderful World for the first time, but I noticed that the +5 GP for playing a new game were not added to my account.

I think you get the gift after winning the game for the first time.

Yeah, you need to win a game, not just play a game. Therefore you actually need to learn the game and pay attention, no just click a bunch of times quickly to grind gift points and avoid paying for premium

Oh, understood. I instead mistakenly thought that playing at least one match was enough. Thanks to both of you for the clarification.

One match will be enough, if you win it (and if it is not friendly mode).

The message in the lobby says it all: Try a new game and get 5 [gift points] for your 1st win!

I've played dedale and Grove for the first time and won and haven't gotten any points. I could understand about dedale because I played on solo mode and maybe it only gives points if you're playing with more people but grove is a solo game so I should've gotten the points, right?

The victory must be in ranked mode, not friendly. Multi-player games that can be played solo must be in friendly mode, so they don't count.

There's a small number of games that are exclusively solo and which can be played solo in ranked mode. Unfortunately, the victory will only count if the game has been tagged as cooperative, which in most (if not all) of these cases it hasn't. See https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=122960

Okay I see that, I got points when I played orchard so I assumed grove would give me points as well since it's a sibling game
