Is there a weird algorithm in Ark Nova or am I nuts or just an inconsistent player?

There seems to be incredible stretches in the algorithm of this game. I win 7 games in a row against 400-600 elo players and then lose 7 games in a row to 150-300 elo players. Does anyone else experience this? Perhaps I am just to inconsistent in my play?

How would you go about writing an algorithm for that scenario and what would be the purpose?

But hey, at least you are beating some high ELO players! You could analyze the games you lost and see if there are some bad habits you had in those games. It's also possible that those players were strong but just hadn't played a lot of games on BGA.

this is a wierd post. Guy seems pretty good at the game. I scanned a couple hundred games from him, and found one winning streak of 9, which is pretty impressive( all 1v1), but could not find a losing streak above 5.

Yeah, there is this well known algorithm, code named by the devs “tIltIng”.
Really, Ark is such a deep game, and when you lost a few games, part of your brain is still hijacked by the mistakes you made, the bad luck you got or some self hate, and the missing brain power or concentration often cost you in the next games.
On a winning streak, the dopamine is a natural brain stimulant, you are often more relax so more prone to play at 100%.
