This card just completely invalidates whatever you might be doing, if someone plays this card against you in the first 6-8 turns you might as well concede, its too big of a tempo advantage.

Ignoring the power level of ai central in 1v1 for a second. I think this discussion will be more fruitful if we get the terms right.

Ai central gives you the opposite of tempo. It puts you behind but gives you the resources to catch up. 24 MC for 1 VP is a terrible deal. Terraforming/rush = tempo, engine != tempo.

Of course, because when both players are durdling around building a card tableau the card which is the best at doing this will obviously break the game in half. But the game isn't just about playing cards. The wave of "you're not terraforming enough" posts will come soon, as others can explain how AI Central is strong but beatable better than I can.

If AI is playable and doesnt give garbage the whole game any top player will eat you alive.

do I have Inventrix with Olympus conference, Solar Wind Power, and AI central? Because, that would put AI central down in gen 1 or gen 2 at the latest, and that will win against Arctic algae and standard tech.

On the other hand, I once had Inventrix with AI central, a science card, and an energy card, and by gen 8, I still had not drawn a third science tag, and I resigned the game.

So, in this hypothetical, when do we get to play our AI central?

Also, if one player has AI central in play, and the other has development center and restricted area, the game can still be competitive. That does show how strong AI central is though, since the player with those 2 cards still needs to spend 2 MC and one energy to get the same 2 cards that AI central gives.
