how to play this?

There's usually a nice tutorial, sometimes a video explaining the how to, but this game seems to have neither. The video looks like a promo vid, and when clicking on "learn" it says "read the rules". But the rules are behind a subscription wall, and i don't want to again subscribe to another site to play on this one (yeah, i'm annoying). Is there a simple anonymous way to learn how to play the game?

Hello,

You can read rules from BGG :D

Enjoy the game.

That's the "subscription wall" they're referring to. Unfortunately, it's very common for games here to have rules on BGG.

There are currently 3 videos posted: at least one of them is from a reputable video tutorial source, and one is titled "how to play solo on BGA". You can also just do a google (or any other site) search for other sources.

Personally I get a lot out of BGG and it's free. Just because they want to know your email address doesn't mean that you Are going to have to be paying for a subscription.

A very quick search on YouTube showed me many videos how to play but here's the first one that popped up

As for written instructions, does this work?

Games usually don't leave beta until a tutorial is made, the rule section and tips section is written by the community members and the significant bugs are fixed. In this case it's no longer marked beta but it is still as finished as an alpha / beta game, so it has skipped over that period of incubation where these things are worked on, and this is what we get. For now when you are in a game you can scroll down to read some of the rules in "How to play" under the game, it's not complete (I still open the rulebook in a different page) but better than nothing. You can also help make the tutorial by making a replay and writing the messages in it.

So can we get a link to a written ruleset that _isn't_ behind some subscription garbo?
