There's now a small side panel for zooming and panning. Previously I could use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom out at far more levels than is possible now. Zoom out twice and everything is tiny. Please change it back

I agree, the new controls are unwieldly and add an unnecessary check (and time) to the game.
If you can't (or won't) change it back please give us an option to deselect these new 'improvements' as the game was far better before...

You can hold down Alt and scroll down to zoom out.

Yes, but the scroll amount is the same as using the buttons

How do I remove the "confirm" option. I've played enough to not need this.

Within the settings you are able to set the scroll to use the mouse wheel with no keys so you can zoom in and out as previously.

Alas, no option to cancel the confirm button option.

There is currently a configurable option in Settings.

Aha, thank you. I was looking at the in-game settings via the right hand menu, but do see there is a setting for 'Figure's placement confirmation' within the Options > Preferences panel below the game board - thanks!
