Sir Ocelot's Cave: Dig, dig, dig!

Grab your pickaxe, your wits, and your weirdly competitive animal friend, it’s time to dig for glory!

In Sir Ocelot’s Cave, you and a rival explorer (either the dashing Sir Ocelot or the brainy Professor Penguin) plunge into a mysterious cave system, placing tools: compasses, lamps, and pickaxes to surround and snatch shiny gemstones.

Each turn, drop a token and try to outmaneuver your opponent to claim geodes, celestites, and mysterious amethysts. The deeper you go, the better the loot.
But with only 16 turns each, every placement counts. Do you go for points, block your opponent, or just panic and start digging wildly? (We support all approaches.)

Tutorial is available for those who need to give it a try first, but if you're brave enough, you can dig into the link below to start a game:

Sir Ocelot’s Cave is now live on Board Game Arena thanks to the Lookout Games team, with the authorization from the game designer Chris Dahlman, and the work to port it to our platform done by firgon. Let's thank all of them.

Dig smart. Shine bright. Try not to get outfoxed by a penguin.
That's your Monday release,
See you around and until Wednesday, as always: Take care and play fair!

The tutorial says the game ends after 16 turns ( when players run out of tokens)

But you start with 15 token, and can place/move your compansion 3 times.
Shouldnt each player therefore have 18 turns total?

To anyone interested in the artwork:

All of the illustrations for this game were by hand with colored pencils! Marion Sonet is a freelance illustrator from France.

Hi Monkeyunit,

The first time you place your companion it counts as a turn. Later, if you choose to advance your companion to a deeper cave, the companion move does not count as a turn.

Best,
