As I could not find details about this, I was wondering if someone could explain to me here:
I understand, that a red thumb prevents you from beeing matched with this player again in the future.

But what happens, if you manually join a table for several players, where a player with a red thumb is waiting? Are you not able to join? Will the player who recived the red thumb be thrown out of the table?

You're not able to join, unless you're invited (and maybe not even then if you're the one who gave the red thumb).

What good does it really do to give a red thumb to payers that play king makers. When a player receives some number of red thumbs (say 5), everyone should have the option to avoid these players.

Public red thumbs (the ones you have to give a reason for) used to work something like this (there would be a karma penalty). The problem was that they were being abused to target people who actually hadn't done anything wrong, so now it only functions behind the scenes to trigger a private warning to that person.
