Is this Big Box version?

The cover art looks like the box art for Big Box. The rules link goes to the Big Box rules. The BGG link goes to Big Box version. But I was thinking there were some modules in the Big Box that I don't see options to turn on/off when making a game. So, is this an adaptation of the Big Box or just core game?

just played. the only variants seem to be around which characters are available.

i think all the variants really enhance the game, but i really hope "might is right" in particular will be added.

Definitely NOT the "Big Box". Yet? No outlaws, no horses.

At the very least, we should be able to tweak what characters we want to play with. "Starter" and "Random" and the presets in the rules isn't much of a choice. At least give us the option of all-yellow or all-red standard characters. The red sides are more balanced.

Big box aside, having the options from the standard game would be nice too...

1) The river. Where's the river? Essential to tighten up the map for lower player counts.

2) "Might is Right" variant. Tiles instead of dice for combat resolution.

3) "Kit Carson" variant. Everyone plops down their cowboys/workers simultaneously. Done right, this could really make online play flow more smoothly, especially turn-based.

4) "New Beginning" variant... players spend points to build their own starting setup.

I'd vote for ANY of these before starting to think about the expansion content.

It is an intermediate version. There is, for instance, the Paperboy.

Would be nice to see the rest of the Big Box content like Horses and Outlaws, River etc =)

Any info about if this is in the making or not in the agreement with the publish at least? =)
