Can I register my indie game as a premium game?

I created board games as a personal hobby.
If I implement and publish an indie game, will it be difficult to register it as a premium game?
I have already registered my games on BoardGameGeek.
However, I'm hesitant to develop games that are not well-known, such as games created by individuals, because the BGA management may decide to register them only as free games.

As another question, what are the average annual and monthly sales of currently popular mid-level premium games?

BGA doesn't decide to make it free or premium; the publisher does. The publisher owns the rights, so it's not possible for BGA ot unilaterally make that decision.

The "sales" you're referring to are not openly published.

Thank you for your answer!
It is a very helpful answer. I'll give it a try.
