Is it an Undo button for all the times we make a stupid move and regret it immediately?

I don't like asynchronous play. A lot of websites already do it. It takes weeks to finish a game, there's almost no interaction between players. BoardGameArena works because it's live. That's why it's so popular. I'm worried people would stop playing live and just do asynchronous games.

Exactly on the above comment. I REALLY hope they don't ruin a good thing here and change to asynchronous!!

Believe it or not, I actually agree with you. I think the real time aspect is what has made this site shine! : ). I'm hoping they are adding voice chat. Then it would be like a 24 hour a day, seven days a week Essen! :)

Think - this not about asyncro.
Such games as Quarto, Pilos, Chess, Uncle, Gyges and many more need real time. Or player have lifetime to find winning combination of moves.

I think some party game with mouse game, why not a draw game like Telestractions or Pictionary?

About async: you're right, most of games on BGA are much better realtime.

For long games with duration >40 minutes, well, it depends. If I take the 7 "most expected" games on BGA homepage, 5 would have a duration >40 mn, and having them on BGA now makes no sense right now. With some "async" mode it could be possible to have some Agricola-class game here...

But there are games like Tzolk'in and Caylus which are pretty long (>40minutes). I have to say that I would like asynchronous play - the reason I don't play Tzolk'in and N-W Passage here is time.

Few days ago i wanted to try Dungeon Petz on other site and I have to say that BGA is much better because of realtime games, but abillity to play longer games for few days is really good sometimes. And you have games i would love to play much more.

PS If you implement this then make a chat or forum that would allow people to establish hours for game (to make it possible to play the game in two parts in real time or something like that).
