Player timed out but won game?

I just had a bizarre experience in arena. I was waiting for a player who was running out of time (not yet at 0). A screen quickly flashed with some text like quitting without penalty (not the same as when you expel a player) and had each players tags I think too. Before I could read it or make selections the box disappeared. Then the timed out player played through the rest of the game (we were about halfway through) and then won, no other players took any actions, and I had no buttons or actions at all.
Obviously lost ranking and elo as a result but not really sure what the situation was. Has anyone experienced this?

Do you have a link for your game?
Maybe your browser had failed to update and in reality it was your turn. It happened to me several times (Flip 7 and other games) that I thought "why is that player not doing anything?", then I hit F5 and noticed that my time was almost up and everybody was waiting for me. -> When in doubt refresh your browser.
Watch a replay of the table to see who timed out.

I've had that same experience. Not of a player winning that was out of time but of waiting for another player to play their turn. When in actual fact it was the other player(s) waiting for me.

I had the same experience as CameronHamill. Which irritated me because it dropped my karma rating 20 points, because the apparently the game considered me as the person who wasn't playing, when in fact all i saw on my screen was me waiting for the other player to play his/her turn. This has only happened to me on Flip 7 games.

I seen it too, but didn't lose anything. I'm not sure if it was from the server issues awhile back or it's Flip7.
