Begginers and Apprentices Tournament

I'd love to host a tournament for begginers and apprentices but those are invite only. So, anyone interested in participating in something like this just DM me and, when I have enough people, I'll set it up and invite you.
Unless I get several requests to a specific tournament type, I'll be using the Swiss system.
My goal is to create a friendly tournament that allows you to meet a number of Verdant enthusiasts, get better at it with others around your level and hopefully exchange some tips.
Let me know if you're interested 🌿

Hello,

You need 100 ELO to enter tournaments for a good reason.

It helps preventing beginners to enter tournaments and never play or abandon after first loss and therefore ruin your tournament.

I agree that's a good rule of thumb to have. But if someone has to DM someone to be invited they'll probably think twice about it, instead of just clicking "register" on a whim. Also, pretty much anyone can abandon the tournament, regardless of their ELO score, so I don't really think this is a good enough reason not to do it. But I agree that it's something to keep in mind and perhaps I could rethink the system I use: for example, using the Robin system instead so that, even if some players don't play or leave, you can still play with everyone else.
I just wanted to create a friendly space where new players could feel part of the community and help each other raise their ELO scores a bit, instead of being paired randomly with players who are sometimes much more advanced.
