How to give cards to other player?

I've always avoided the global projects that let you exchange cards between players because there wasn't a clear way to do that in the interface. Now this has cost us a win because virtually all of the GP choices in the early game were of this type. Even after activating them, we couldn't find any way to actually give a card to the other player. The help links are useless, since they just refer to the game rules, not the BGA interface.
Help please!

To activate a global card that passes a card, first click on your local project with the corresponding tag, then click on the target global card to insert it, in order to pay the cost written below.
You can use the effect of an activated global card by clicking on the global card itself.

However, the cost of activating it to pass a card from your hand is quite high in a game where only five cards are replenished per turn, so it is better to ignore it and play, as your win rate will be higher if you use each card individually.
They are generally only used to complete challenge cards with strict conditions, such as having six or more of each type of resilience token.
