Board Game Arena

The new Arena season started almost four hours ago and I haven’t been able to start a game yet.

I saw in the new Arena season topic that apparently this Arena season is breakthrough scenarios instead of standard scenarios.

Has anyone started a game yet?

Same issue. I was hoping to get some matches done this afternoon. No dice.

The settings for the new season are set to Breakthrough on the Gembloux scenario (and only this one, for the whole season). Since BT is an alpha mode, all open arena games are automatically converted to simple games in friendly mode. Check the simple game list to see all the open tables.

If we can only play breakthrough scenarios in the Arena this season then I won't be playing in the Arena this season.

How was this stupid decision made?

Choosing an alpha mode option is very stupid

Collective failure by the gurus : https://boardgamearena.com/arenasuggest ... &season=22 . The vote count was quite low (although not more than previously), and the majority of voters selected this option.
Currently Arena simply does not work. I don't think a friendly game started with the Arena option has already been finished, but I doubt it actually counts for Arena ranking.

Is there any chance we can reset this arena back to “normal”? Nothing is working in the memoir 44 arena currently.

Same problem for me today. Amazing bug for me : i'm on first place !

Another issue is the length of time it takes to play a breakthrough match.

It can take between 90 - 120 minutes to play both sides.
I don't have that much time for a single Arena match.

Based on Guru information, Arena should be back to the previous format now.
