The game is designed for 2–5 players, but 3 feels like the actual sweet spot. With 2 players, the "beat one of three piles" mechanic becomes really limited—there’s only one opponent to outplay, so you lose a lot of the bluffing and tension. Also luck feels more. dominant.

At 3 players, each round has more interaction and less chance. And the game doesn’t get significantly longer.
