Board Game Arena

Since the new arena season has started, I have played several games against opponents with reputations below 75%, even though my settings require opponents to be at or above 75% - Scores in 50's and 60's for example.

Just finished Catan and a game of Space Base right before that. Each game had a player below the very restrictive setting that I'd chosen.

How are you setting the restrictions and how are you starting the games?

Under the start button, click the red door with the VIP looking retractable belt that says "Table has some access limitations." when you hover over it. There, you can adjust your level, reputation, and language settings. Then, click 'start.' If I've already played, I click 'play again.' This season, rather than returning to the start screen, the game usually starts searching for players as soon as I click 'play again.' Perhaps that is part of the issue?

So neither table you mention shows any access limitations (which I think do show). I tried setting up a table with this restriction and it does show on the table page:



The game hadn't started when I took this screenshot, but it did a few minutes later and still showed the restriction.

That said, I did another test where I setup two restrictions and it only showed one of them (not the karma restriction - the other was restricting to my friends, which showed). I'm not sure if it wasn't applying that restriction or if it just wasn't showing, but I invited my partner and he joined so I could see what the game in progress looked like.

In any case, I would suggest that the reason it wasn't restricting in your case was because it wasn't applying that filter. I can't say why - it's probably a bug in the new lobby UI somewhere, so I'd suggest finding any other reports of that behaviour and voting for them, or raising your own. You can set similar filters using the old lobby (Play Now link), which may be more reliable.
