Buzzing into the cosmos, we are thrilled to welcome Apiary, the space-faring, hive-building strategy game from the legendary Stonemaier Games, now fully playable online! It's time to bee-lieve in the future of bees, and it is way more high-tech than honey pots and flower fields.
In Apiary, the fate of the Earth lies not in human hands... because, well, humans are long gone. What happened to them? That is one mystery you will not be solving. Instead, you will step into the six-legged shoes of the Mellifera (a hyper-intelligent, space-faring species of evolved honeybees who have inherited the planet and the stars beyond).
Each player leads one of twenty unique factions of these cosmic bees, starting with a modest hive and a handful of industrious workers. But do not let the fuzzy exteriors fool you, Apiary is a sharp, strategic worker-placement game where every move matters and every buzz counts.
Expand your hive, harvest resources, unlock advanced tech (sometimes from those curious ruins left by humans), and carve out your legacy across the galaxy. From pollinating planets to constructing carvings of your triumphs, you will be earning victory points in the race to dominate the stars before the looming Dearth ends the cycle and sends your workers into hibernation.
But beware: each bee can only work so hard before needing a nap. Timing is everything: mismanage your hive’s productivity, and you might find yourself stung by inefficiency!
