Is anyone else having to re login all the time now?

Don't think BGA has logged me out for 12 months at a time in the past, this last week it's seemingly everytime I open the page. Just me or has something changed?

It's been a bit since the change, but when BGA changed from the one page login process to the three page login process, it also changed the "keep me logged in" checkbox default from checked (stay logged in) to unchecked (log out after a couple of days).

Next time you log in, look for that checkbox (on the second of the login pages) and enable it. If you're using a small screen, you may have to scroll down to see it.

This is happening to me now after the recent changes, not months ago when the login changed. This logout is happening after hours, not days. I think it's related to another post that I made a few hours ago where cookies for settings are being deleted every few hours as well.

If your cookies are disappearing, then yes, your login credentials would be included. I'd expect that to be an issue at the browser level rather than a BGA issue, but I'm not sure what sort of issues to look for. Maybe start by comparing your BGA cookies right after you've logged back in to your BGA cookies just after you've been unexpectedly logged out? Have you changed or upgraded your browser, or changed privacy settings?

If it was a browser issue, other sites would also be losing credentials. This is not the case and started only when the BGA upgrade happened.

It is possible to have browser settings that clear or don't clear data for specific sites when you exit the browser, but that'd be a surprising thing to've deliberately set and then forgotten about, and would involve closing & reopening your browser.

The last release summary was https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... 76#p215676 on June 4. Do the changes in login persistence go back about that far? My impression is that the changes to the buttons presented post-game -- see https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43549 -- are more recent than that, and with no official release summary it's possible that other changes were made with those.

I'm apparently not seeing this issue, and am out of suggestions that don't involve poking around at a setup that's seeing the problem. I hope someone else has better suggestions.

With multiple people reporting this, perhaps file a bug report -- https://boardgamearena.com/bugs -- with observations from everyone seeing the problem? I'm not seeing such a report in a casual search.
