What's the purpose of changing the "Return to main" button from lobby to the entry page?

Does anyone ever go to the entry page on purpose more than once?

After a game, i want to play another game, not go back and look at the news I've already seen. If there's something new there, there's a handy notification on the news ink. Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing there I ever want or need to see.

BGA loads like molasses anyway, so now to play another game i have two choices: wait til the entry page loads then click through to lobby, or close the tab, and open an entirely new tab for the lobby. Either way, this pointless change adds an extra click and extra time dozens of times per day.

Yes, i realize I'm venting to air here, as BGA's customer service is virtually nonexistent, or even hostile on the rare occasions anyone from BGA actually responds, but, maybe one day we'll enter a brave new world where they care even slightly about their paying customers - and today may be that day!

Please revert the button to it's former behavior, or give us the option to do so on an individual basis.

Why? Somebody had a clever idea to promote newly added games (I suppose they had no clue that it'd dilute player base even further, making it harder to find opponents) or new fancy front page itself.

In one of the linked discussions there has been an interesting point. To rephrase it - apparently there is an increase in time for finding opponents recently and it might be due to this change.

The game lobby advertises the open tables, pretty much saying "don't you want to play another game of X right now"?

BGA front page advertises games recently added to the site. A player need to actively make a decision to start looking for another table by clicking on "play now" which is a barrier.

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this.
Added my vote to the suggestion, but have zero hope of BGA caring.
