Abundance Setup change?

I played an Abundance game this week and we both began with two seeds instead of 1. This is unrelated to any Island or climate cards we selected. Has there been a change in the starting resources?

I was under the impression this depended on whether the setting is standard or advanced?
1 Seed for advanced and 2 seeds for standard.

That must be it. I didn't set up the game myself and would always choose Advanced so that makes sense. Was unaware of the seed difference. Thanks!
