I've seen the option of proposing a draw, but is there also an option of forfitting (giving up)?
Apart from quitting the game I mean, as this would result in a BGA penalty (and no sane player wants this).
Thanks for any feedback!

In chess there is a blue button to propose a draw on the main game page itself, i.e., not in the hamburger menu where the concede option is found.

Putting aside the issue of why you'd want to play chess on BGA, resigning on BGA is called conceding. Go into the hamburger menu in the upper right (the stack of three horizontal lines) and select the option "concede the game."
