Can you guys let me in on the secret?
Since I have hit elite status, every time I play, and I mean every time, when my opponent steals from me, they know how to get a mermaid or a seahorse, or an important card.
So please let me in on the secret, is it always on one side? Is there a trick I don't know about?

Ok, I appreciate you taking the time to prove an instance where I am wrong.

I was not just complaining or trying to be a jerk. I was asking a serious question.

Well, you said "every time I play, and I mean every time". I didn't spend much time searching, that was actually the first (literally the first, I'm not exaggerating) case I checked.

As far as I have seen, stolen cards are just chosen randomly, regardless of which card you click on, how you sort your hand, etc. So any apparent pattern is most likely just in your mind.

I knew this hyperbole would be easily disproven, but I stopped myself after looking over a couple of games because I figured the OP knows they were exaggerating, so what's the point?

This has been confirmed by the dev in another post in the SS&P sub-forum. No matter where you click, a card is randomly chosen. The identity of the card you click on isn't even transmitted to the server, so it couldn't possibly affect the card that ultimately gets selected.

Some people think that because the mermaid is displayed in a certain position in your hand, that therefore clicking in that spot in their opponent's hand guarantees getting a mermaid. But then they ignore (due to cognitive bias) the times they click on that card and don't get the mermaid.

For the record, I never would have thought to research the game logs of games I never even played in so that I could find evidence to embarrass and make fun of a complete stranger who asks a question in a forum.

I thought this was a community where people from around the world, who all like games, come to have fun.

One thing is for sure, I will never post in these forums again.

You make a statement based on the games you played then attack users for checking said games. That's looking pretty underhanded, especially when it ended up perfectly answering your question.

You played 70 games, it would have been pretty unlikely that your statement was true and if it was, it would be higly probable there was a bug in the game. So it seems natural to me to first check if what you said is true or if it was just another exageration or feeling. I say 'another' because there are plenty of threads about this subject and this is probably the reason why Jellby reacted this way

I encourage you to continue posting here, I'm pretty sure you will find help and kindness in these forums.
