Board Game Arena

My opponent started with Ross Island as the starting island, and immediately had 2 cards toward the goals of "cards with a card draw ability". (The other is the starting climate card, which does have a card draw ability.)

I do not understand why Ross Island (which has a card composting ability) would qualify for those goals. Am I missing something, or is this a bug I should report?

All island cards qualify for those goals because they all allow you to draw cards. If you look at the black section, you will see the card draw ability symbol there.

I feel incredibly silly.
I'm glad I did not make a nonsense bug report!

Here is my lame explanation for why I missed this:
My own island also has a secondary card ability, which made me think I had a head start toward that goal, and made me forget that, as you noted, all of the islands have that ability already. So, when I saw that my opponent played an island that did not have that extra ability, I overlooked the fact that we still each had a starting island with a card ability. No extra bonus for me just because I happen to have an island with 2 different card abilities.

Stuff like that has happened to me before, so I get it.
