Board Game Arena

Working with Hersh, we are adding the Characters expansion modules over time.

The modules are:

► Distinguished Family Members (DFM) that enable greater asymmetric setup
► New Objective Card (NOC) deck that eliminates all other OC decks (some rebalancing and about 20 new objectives)
► New Characters Gentry (NCG)
► Characters Sideboard (CS)

The NCG and CS are slated for 2026.

NOW: The DFM and NOC modules (plus adding the new Charles Fairchild card that gives 3 rep + £300) are Live!

Two notes:

(1) The old objective card decks are gone, and the NOC is in use for all games. Depending on the expansions selected, NOC will supply the right cards—I will have a (rough) Appendix for NOC (from the upcoming Universal Rules Compendium) within a week or so, which I will post on BGA.

(2) Choosing DFM will require a new snake draft to take place (https://youtu.be/JX9jhf4BOqU).

Looking forward to this Dan! Was wondering why all of a sudden there were new objective cards randomly showing up…

Loving the new objectives!

Not sure if it's a bug so I'll ask here: We played a game with the Distinguished Family Members turned on, but when we did a rematch they were turned off. Is this normal for Beta features, or should I report it?

Just to clarify - we played a two-player with DFM. Were we supposed to get two distinguished family members each? We also both ended up with the Asquith DFM as well as the equivalent family member. Don't suppose this is correct either? (I read the rules really quickly and can't seem to open the file again for some reason)
