Folks looking for 'friendly' aka no ELO change games?

Hi forum,
Long time lurker, first time starting a topic?
I don't know the rules on the forum about mentioning players, and their youtube videos.
There's a player (who likes to pacify threads?) who posts videos (thanks for those, great watch).
He mentioned in one of the latest ones he avoids playing random games because of random variance, if he loses to someone with lower ELO it's way too big an ELO hit to stomach.
To that player and those who think like him I want to offer - I am not premium, I am up for a 2p game... anyone looking to play 'friendly mode', 'hit me up' or just post here etc. .
Looking to learn and improve (and don't care about ELO / arena ranking etc anyways). Thanks for reading and considering.

I‘ll send you a friend request and then we can play any number of friendly games you like with any setup you like.

It doesn't, sadly - Terraforming Mars is a premium game, so any match needs one premium player at the minimum (arena or not arena)

You have an 80% win rate and a 355 Elo, so you're clearly capable at the game. I sent you a friend request; if you accept, we can play a friendly game at some time.
Also, it's okay to refer to another player, such as threadpacifist. It's only an issue if you insult someone by name, or call a player out by name, or re-post private chat sent to you by another player.

I would try not to care too much about your elo or rank so much, it doesn't mean that much anyways as it can be pretty easy to manipulate a high score

Hello all,
Thanks to those that responded and messaged, I look forward to some fun games.
Thanks to the moderators, including Frank J (presuming here since he posted) for sharing useful rules on what's allowed on the forums and what's not.
I agree BGA ELO rating, and arena ratings, are in the large scope of our lives, meaningless. I think of them as 'fake internet points'. Do I care about these fake internet points? Heck yea! I want my super nerd credentials intact. Ha.
But yea, let's have some fun games I want to improve and get better.

Posts like this just show you how worthless ELO is when folks manipulate it at will. Some people really do value those points I guess.

How does this forum thread show people are manipulating Elo at will?
I care about my Elo, yes, but lately I play only Friendly mode games because I have a lot going on in my life and I don't want the stress of worrying about gaining or losing Elo. Or needing to rush to make moves without having time to craft a strategic plan.
Also, maybe the OP wasn't necessarily worrying about his or her own Elo but rather wanted to encourage game invites from people who might be concerned about their own Elos?
