[Playte] Finding the way to improve BGA Orapa Mine

Hello, this is Playte.

We have been following the recent discussions on the forum and are currently checking with the developer to see if certain updates can be implemented.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The current BGA version of the game was intentionally designed with some differences from the physical version.
For 2-player games, the decision was made—after discussion—that using a single shared Problem to compete over, rather than each player setting a separate problem, would be the most suitable approach for the digital format on BGA. This aspect will therefore remain unchanged.

However, we are looking into addressing concerns about fairness when declaring the final answer.
The planned adjustment is: when a player declares and correctly guesses the position, the remaining players in that round will also be given a chance to guess, and if correct, all will be considered winners.

If you have other issues or suggestions, please feel free to reply here. We will review them and share which changes may or may not be possible.
For further inquiries, you can also reach us at ryan@playte.com.

Thank you for your support and for enjoying Orapa Mine.

Excellent change. Excited to see it implemented.

Btw you put Digit Code in the final line.... instead of Orapa Mine

thanks, it is really good to see you guys are trying to improve this bad situation. Wouldn't it be better to just let players declare a solution at the end of their turn? This way that really good final hint would benefit the one who got it, not both.

We also see this opinion on the forum, but It's too much far away from the Author's Think. So we bring the solution that If someone gets the answer, then everybody have 1 chance to guess.

The reason you got confused was because Digit code faces similar problems with Orapa Mine concerning the final answer. I haven't checked it's forum, but I am pretty sure that there will be similar complaints there as well. But, it's good to find a solution!

The reason is that its the exact same thing he posted in Digit Code's forum with the same expected change.

So now the starting player is a major disadvantage: others can take a guess if he solves/guess correct, but if the 2nd player guess it right he has no chance to draw equal.

Better would be "when someone finds the solution all other (alive) players can take one more guess"

This does mean that almost all games should end in a draw.

Unless a player has 2 possible solutions and guesses correctly and the other doesn't?

It's a perfect information game after all.

I agree that the new implementation is better than before but gives way too much advantage to the second player. Being able to submit an answer after one's own turn would still be the best option, in my opinion. Or keeping each other's answers hidden, even better.
