first round player next to me just hammers me with bangs and there's nothing I can do about it they drew through half the deck because apparently that's what that character can do just keep drawing cards when their hands empty. That's not fun or challenging just a very poorly designed game.

And what about chess? A character eated 3 of my pawns only because she can move in every direction up to 8 squares!

Both players have one of those. Also, given Chess is an 8x8 board and a piece must occupy a square, any movement in a straight line can be no longer than 7 squares. Not that it changes the point any.
