Just a tip: The SECRET DECADES is an optional rule (as in the rulebook). So you can learn the game without it. We (the authors/developpers) like the game the most with the SECRET DECADE per player (especially with playing online). Do try! :)

Thank you for designing this excellent game. But what effect do the Secret Decade cards have? The rulebook only describes how the cards are dealt to players

Thanks. The SECRET DECADE score is written on the card.
For example at the 1960s SECRET DECADE card it's:
"At the end of the game you will receive 1 FP for each card from 1960 to 1969 in your exhibition."

The cards are blurry and not zoomable on phone apparently.

The cards are "all-pixel", which is right I think.
So become blurry when you enlarge, even if sharp in the normal size.
Strangely I too had days/moments when cards showed less-sharp, I don't know the reason for that, currently it looks sharp at my phone.

In the planning is enlarging a card a bit when you move over it.
Like the selected card if you chose "Confirm Selection" in your Game Preferences. That is comfortable with the 90s cards, the 90s font reads less easy.
Cards in your exhibition enlarge a lot when moving over them, in fact that opens a larger picture so that you can read the subjects texts of your and others exhibition. We first had that in the 6x3 cards market too, but that covers other years and colors so was very annoying instead of helpful.
