Occasionally, especially in an abstract game, my opponent will say "gg" before the game is over. But your opponent may not have seen the winning move. Saying "gg" may prompt them to take a closer look at the board. It's definitely happened to me that I didn't see it until they said something.

That's why when I see they have me dead to rights, no matter how obvious I think the winning sequence is....I say NOTHING.

It should go without saying that you shouldn't rub the fact that they blundered a win in their face if you go on to win. Post-game debriefing should only be given if the person says they want it. It's fairly common in over the board chess, but I find it's rare on BGA.

Also, if they go on to win a different way, it's also not worth mentioning, because then it just sounds like "I lost, but I'm better than you because I saw that I should have lost sooner." Wait what? Don't do that.
