Super Frustrated with ELO points

Why is it that I am at place 1 and place 2 get way more points than I? Or that I am at place 3 but there are more points deducted than from place 4? That is really weird and super annoying. Takes out the fun if I am losing although I have a higher place. And it does not make sense...
Anyone else who experience that lately?

This is how Elo works. It's not a score to ever increase. It is supposed to roughly reflect your skill level. The Elo changes are calculated from the ratings the players have already.
- You only gain small Elo increase if you win against way weaker players than you.
- You get large Elo loss if you lose against way weaker players than you.
- You gain large Elo increase if you win against way stronger players than you.
- You only get small Elo loss if you lose against way stronger players than you.
When the Elo is calculated, each of the 4 players in a Wizard game are paired against each other, and in each pair, the "winner" is the one with higher placement in the game. (Means the 1st place wins against the other 3, the 2nd place lost against 1st place and wins against the remaining two, etc.)
Recommendation: What you can do is to restrict your opponent level more to your own skill level. You will get better opponents and you will have more intuitive Elo gains and losses if your opponents are closer to you own Elo. As a rule of thumb, if you play someone who has 200 Elo less than you, you will gain almost nothing in winning against them but you lose a lot when losing against them.
