Board Game Arena

Innovation works fine on my PC with a mouse, but I haven’t mastered tapping JUST RIGHT on my phone (Chrome browser) to have it actually send the command. Most of my taps—various pressures and durations—only ever result in selecting a card and having the UI Zoom on it. How do I actually get it to select and play them?

What phone? I have no trouble with Chrome on Android. Have you tried any other browsers?

iPhone 14 something and yes, exact same problem on Safari: tap the card during my turn and it just zooms, except rarely plays it.

Like most games on BGA, playing from an iphone is very difficult.

here is the trick that works for this game:

1. when you tap a card and the info appears instead of doing the action, rotate your phone so that the info dialogue moves down, then look for a very small, like 3 pixel left edge where you can see the card you are trying to click behind the info panel. Click THAT and you can take your turn/action.
2. when the game won't let you suddenly click anything anymore, which happens very often, try this:

a. pinch zoom out, try tapping again, pinch zoom in, try tapping again.
b. refresh the page and do NOT pinch zoom in or out.

usually a or b works when you get stuck.

with these tricks in mind you can play this game in mobile! the rotation to click cards behind the info panel is the most important difference to some other games on bga for iphone. meaning this is a specific trick you need to get use to on mobile for this game to work.

Try using a two-finger tap to select a card.
