Wind ? Turn all the way to -3 or stop at 0?

What do you guys think? Is it worth trying to turn the plane all the way to face the wind (i.e. the « realistic » approach), which helps for landing even with not much brakes but makes it hard to go forward the last squares, or is it usually better to stay perpendicular to the wind (not « realistic », but might be the approach in the game)?

Might depend on circumstances and scenario of course, but if I recall correctly I have mostly taken a somewhat opportunistic approach: I didn't try hard to turn more, but if I had the chance to do so without investing or risking anything, I did.

I think it's usually best to stop around 0. Getting the speed down even with half breaks isn't very difficult (1/1,1/2,2/2) but advancing against a headwind with full landing gear requires at least a (5/6).

On the other hand, I think that getting to the airport quickly and then stalling with a headwind until the final round could be a viable strategy. Never tried it though.
