Moving on "empty" mountains

As it stands, you can still move your goat on mountains where no more VPs are available.
Of course you can see that (there's a red 0 on top), yet it can very easily happen by oversight.
Therefore it would be nice if the system didn't allow such pointless (potentially game-losing) moves in the first place.

I don't understand why the system should prevent this. The move is legal, it's just bad. But choosing good moves is the player's responsibility.

Maybe it should be a game option, "prevent move on empty track" with opt-in? It would be off for arena and tournament, but it would be possible to opt-in for casual games?

Actually, if the game is tied at the end, and you have more goats at the top of the mountains than your opponent you will receive a decisive point to win the game. So it does pay, although rarely, to move a goat to the top of a mountain that has expired…particularly if it’s a tight game.
