Board Game Arena

I thought that Petting Zoo animals counted as an animal type for the Species Diversity conservation project but I'm not seeing any bug reports so I wonder if I have that wrong.

I had Sea Animals, Herbivore, Bird and Petting Zoo animals. Plus I had a token left on my Breeding Program Sponsor card to use. I have a screenshot of it (won't let me attach it here) and it wouldn't let me take the 1st slot. Only offered 2nd & 3rd slot. I just wanted to check that I have the rules right before I file a bug report.

Was the project from a rhino ?

Petting Zoo animals count, but you can't use marker from the breeding program sponsor for cp you're playing from hand. Basic cp you get by a rhino count as usual cp....

Yes it was the Rhino. I thought I could use the marker from BP because it says "when supporting a base conservation project" & Species Diversity IS one of the 12 base projects. But you're saying it only applies if that base project is one laid on the board at the beginning of the game?

It says Imgur is over capacity? Any other way to upload an image?

Base project are the three on the botom, those that cannot be removed.

Just looked at the glossary for the BP sponsor card and it does say "Only the cards that are below the Association Board count as base conservation projects." Thanks for the clarification. Lesson learned.

When you play bcp from your hand it will be placed as other cp played from hand or range. Real basic conservation projects are placed as bcp at start of the game they won't be replaced during the game. A bcp that was played by a rhino will drop of after playing other cp. You could get it back by a vulture or other animals from the discardpile... in my oppinon the rules are clear at this point.
