Flaw: if you start without moors, trees, or bushes you're screwed

I just had a game where I couldn't do anything the first 4-5 rounds because I was unable to find trees, moors or bushes. What's the point? In the original forest shuffle you could at least exchange your cards once. Seems pretty silly.

According to the rulebook:
"In the rare case that you could do neither action (A or B), reveal your hand. Discard 2 of your cards and draw 2 cards from the stack. This ends your turn."

There were 2 bug reports about this (https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=181609, https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=184747), but it should be fixed now. If not, please open a new bug report.

The mulligan made more sense to me than the discard 2, draw 2 system. Yesterday I had a game where I went 4 or 5 rounds without being able to play a card while I was trying to dig for a moor, tree, or shrub.

BGA supports only the official rules. If you want them to be changed, you might contact the publisher.

Can you not play a sapling like in FS? (genuinely don't know)

Lookout Spiele (the publisher) is owned by the Asmodee, which also owns BGA. So, I guess this is the right place to call any issues with the game.

No, this is a place for discussion among BGA users. If you want to reach the publisher, contact the publisher.

The generic moors on the back of the cards has to be placed via specific cards, I believe it isn't available as a general action.

Exactly the same problem : this is my 6th turn and I can't start the game while there are two trees in the river but no, I have to take 2 cards from
the stack
