I think it would be good to have the possibility to export the game in sgf format for further analysis. (like it is possible for Go games)

It is possible to export games in txt format (compatible to XG).

There are only minor glitches when a cube is passed. These few errors one can manually edit.

How can I do that?
SGF does have the advantage, that it can be read by programs that do the analysis

Start a game with the option "Export the game in *.mat format". Not possible in Arena mode I am afraid...

When you have finished the game (or even during the game) you can go into the user preferences (top right - Click SETUP in the area where you find your user name) and you can choose "MAT export".

The format should be compatible with your analysis software.

I don't understand why the developers don't turn on the export option by default. It doesn't affect players who don't want to use it. The default off only makes it unavailable to players who do want to use it.

I don't think anyone is actively developing the game/fixing bugs. There hasn't been a bug report closed in around 3 years.

Presumably it costs extra processing and/or memory. On by default would mean unnecessarily taxing BGA servers on 99,9% of BG games played. Just to make it slightly more convenient for the 0.1% who do use the feature.

BGA tends to save your table settings though. So if you really want the option on. just make sure to start your own tables instead of joining already open ones.
