Board Game Arena

Congratulations to all participants and winners from the previous season!
 
But wait, what exactly is "the Arena?"
 
The Arena is the competitive mode on BGA. If you master a game and want to play it competitively, this is THE mode to use, so you can challenge the best players and get the most experience points.
 
The Arena is organized in seasons of 3 months each. Achievements are awarded to the best players at the end of each season.
 
To play in the Arena: select "Play" and then choose "Arena" instead of "Simple game."

In the previous seasons, it was you (more exactly the gurus) who chose the game formats for the Arena: player number, options used, ...
 
We are very happy to see that this way of doing things contributed to making the Arena more popular: thank you to all gurus for their smart suggestions and their votes!
 
Rules updates
 
No Arena rules are changing this season. It does not mean we are 100% satisfied with how the Arena is running, but you seem to appreciate the current rules so we want to keep them as they are for now. Find out more here.
 
Season 23 is NOW Launched.
 
The new Arena is now open for its new season.
 
Some Explanation About: Relegations
 
At the end of each season, after winners have been awarded, you are relegated.
 
League relegation is determined by the number of Arena leagues available for each game:

• For games with 6 leagues: Elite players are demoted to Gold, Diamond players to Silver, and everyone else to Bronze.
• For games with 5 or 4 leagues: Elite players are demoted to Silver, and everyone else to Bronze.
• For games with 3 or 2 leagues: Everyone is demoted to Bronze.

 
Note that some games might not follow these relegation rules, as we might have decided to adjust the number of leagues in between seasons.

Yahtzee change to Maxi is not in the change log post.

Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor was not reset with the new season - I am still in Elite league.
All other relegations seem to work fine

Season 18 and 19 have still not awarded the top trophy for Goblin Hood. Please award these.

This continues to go un-awarded. Numerous posts, relevant bug reports, why has this not been corrected yet?

Why hasn't this been fixed, other games have flagged when trophies were not awarded and you adjusted. Please correct this.

The change on October 7 restored the Pro variant.

However, in the update page, it says: disabled.

Last season, the Pro variant was disabled, which was good; it was the first time.

Too bad...

@brot42 You did not add the correct changes for Scopa, those are the rules from last season. And they should never be used again.

Games played dropped by 95%.

It was very hard to find tables. Season 21 had 3700+ games played. This past season only 192 games played.

We added the wrong changelog, sorry for the confusion! it is now fixed.

6 Nimmt! was changes again to "professional" mode, so there is actual a change. And a change to worse. Normal mode is the way how it was supposed to be played competitive, not "professional". So the 6Nimmt! has another ruined arena season ahead
